2009- THE YEAR OF PERSEVERING IN PRAYER
ACTS Model in Praying
ADORATION TEXT:
They [i.e., the seven angels] held harps given them by God and sang the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the Lamb:
"Great and marvelous are your deeds,
Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
King of the ages.
Who will not fear you, O Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed (Rev. 15:2-4).
CONFESSION TEXT:
He who conceals his sins does not prosper,
but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy
(Prov. 28:13).
THANKSGIVING TEXT:
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.
Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strenght and power
to exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give you thanks, and praise your glorious name (1 Chron. 29:13)
SUPPLICATION TEXT:
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and
requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all
the saints (Eph. 6:18).
