First, baptism is an act of loving obedience to the explicit command of our Lord. Christ commanded His disciples to be baptized. Secondly, baptism is a public testimony of one’s faith in Jesus Christ. In the New Testament, when a person received Christ, the person gave public testimony to that fact through baptism.
Matthew 28:19-20; Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:41; 9:18; 10:47-48; 16:15, 33
We believe the entire Bible is inspired by God, without error and the authority on which we base our faith, conduct, and doctrine.
2 TIMOTHY 3:16,17
We believe Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. We believe that salvation is found by placing our faith in what Jesus did for us on the cross. We believe Jesus rose from the dead and is coming again.
What We Believe
As a church that is built on the Bible, we believe:
We believe in the regular taking of Communion as an act of remembering what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross.
1 CORINTHIANS 11:24
We believe there is one and only one living God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit without division of nature, essence, or being.
DEUTERONOMY 6:4 JOHN 1:1; JOHN 1:14
We believe every believer should be in a growing relationship with God by obeying His Word, by yielding to the Holy Spirit, and by being conformed to the image of Christ so that our lives are transforming.
